A letter to Mr.President written on the day of Inauguration of 5th President of Republic of Kenya
Dear Mr. President-elect,
On behalf of the Kenyan Youths Society (KYS), I want to
categorically congratulate you for the resilience, boldness, and indefatigable nature
that you and the Kenya Kwanza team at
large have shown in the country’s politics. We all agree that from the country’s
historical constructs, you eminently rose above the torrents to challenge the
system; that has been the case since time memorial. Clearly, you have become a
real ‘Man of the People', which every citizen will prove in due course as you
get along with your reign, all thanks to God.
‘Chief Hustler’, you fervenutly know the conditions within the
bracket and we have no reason to explain all we need since you are and have
been a chairman of the poor, the less fortunate, and of all, the competent
jobless graduates. From the time of the Supreme Court’s declaration, we felt
like the second coming of Christ dawned on us, and with hopes and happiness, we exalted
God’s grace.
Your Excellency, as the
youths of this sovereign state, we come before you that you make us the muscles
of nation building to help steer your economic plans as far as the inverted
champagne glass strategy, conventionally termed as the ‘Bottom Up’ economic model
is concerned. Your level of flexibility, understanding of the system, and
particularly showing readiness towards the dawning of the 4th
Industrial Revolution is an assurance that your plan is subjective enough to
serve the citizens.
Besides and most importantly, we request you to reshape the
fate of education. Honestly, a larger percentile of the youths can affirm that
the whole 8-4-4 system is just but an incubator of depression, and even death.
What it means is; that the stress that follows after completing the cycle with hopes
of getting system absorption but failing to secure a job place, especially for
the less fortunate and sons of nobodies in this country is loud and so I uphold
the tag I have given to education as, ‘ depression incubator’. We believe you
now hold the power to create a paradigm shift in the whole system, kindly
prioritize saving the lives of able youths, which is the biggest percentage of
soldiers you need in your reign.
In a nutshell, our trust, hope, and support are vested in
you. As you get on with the leadership work, kindly consider us in your government,
directly or indirectly so that we can also build the nation, an opportunity
that seemed like an impossibility in the past reigns. We promise to serve you in
the presidential capacity to ensure that your agendas are successfully driven,
as this is also the public’s expectation and request.
To the Kenya Kwanza
team headed by Dr. William Ruto, may you live long to keep driving the economic
plans as mandated in your agenda, which is a service to all.
Thank You!
Yours Faithfully,
